The Asia FinTech Awards 2024 Winners
The Asia FinTech Awards winners were crowned last night at the prestigious awards ceremony at the Glasshouse in Singapore.
The biggest award of the night, FinTech of the Year, went to Nium.
Other big winners on the night include Julo, who took home an incredible three prizes, and dtcpay, MFast and Triple-A, who all won two awards.

2024 Winners
Startup of the Year : MFast
This company impressed judges with their work serving underbanked populations. They use a network of 350,000 human agents as well as digital channels to make sure no one is excluded. Their entry demonstrated clear, tangible benefits and stood out against strong finalists.
Data Initiative of the Year: JULO
This company really stood out to judges with their innovative use of AI and advanced NLP Techniques. The winning entry significantly improved customer satisfaction, product development and set industry leading standards while maintaining strict data privacy.
PayTech of the Year, sponsored by Visa: Dtcpay
This category had a lot of really strong entries but this year’s winners pulled just ahead of the competition. The judges were very impressed that this company is offering seamless integration of payment processes, and their payment wallet accepts both monetary and digital currencies, making it easy for customers to have their funds in one place.
Personal Finance Tech of The Year: MoneyHero Group
This company has the largest personal finance community in Singapore, allowing users to source ideas from each other and share best practices. The judges chose this winner because they’re empowering their users to make confident, researched financial decisions, and to take their finances into their own hands.
Investment Tech of the Year: Moomoo Singapore
The judges selected this winner because this company is utilising tech to remove barriers to investing, meaning everyone, no matter their educational background and wealth level, can invest sensibly and safely. The judges thought the inclusivity of the platform was very admirable.
LendTech of the Year: FinVolution Group
This category had some really strong entries, but the judges chose this company as winners because they have leading platforms in a number of countries across Asia, with over 160 million users in China alone. Their AI chatbot also supports multiple languages, meaning customers aren’t excluded from their offering.
Banking Tech of the Year, sponsored by Payments Asia: Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute
This was another really strong category with lots of excellent entries. The judges selected this company as the winner because they were impressed that this company has a platform which extracts data automatically from documents, simplifying processes and supporting a wider range of documents, making it better and more efficient for customers.
WealthTech of the Year: Bibit.id (PT Bibit Tumbuh Bersama)
Though only founded in 2019, this company’s app recently became the first investment app in Indonesia to be downloaded more than 10 million times. The judges were impressed that they offer 24/7 customer support and a robot investment adviser back by Nobel Prize-winning research.
Web3 Award: Triple A
The judges selected this winner because the company has utilised tech to facilitate global, next-day acceptance of crypto. They also offer instant payouts and simplified currency exchange, offering solutions customers are asking for, which the judges thought was exemplary.
RegTech of the Year: FrankieOne
This category saw lots of great entries, but the winner stood out from the crowd because their software has streamlined the onboarding process for new companies, providing a flexible modular solution to smooth the KYC process.
InsurTech of the Year: Igloo
The judges felt that this company’s entry was truly exemplary. This company takes the pain out of finding insurance, offering a product that focuses on flexibility to allow reaction to real world changes, and the judges felt this is a great testament to their customers.
Best Employer Award: JULO
Whilst this is a relatively new offering, the judges were impressed that this company pairs new employees with experienced leaders, providing them with personalised support as they enter the business. Employees are supported at every step of their journey with the company.
Rising Star of The Year: Wan Chin Loh
This category saw some really strong entries by some really impressive individuals. The judges selected the winner because not only did this person found their association, they’ve worked relentlessly to grow it, forming new partnerships and speaking at various events to promote the association.
Innovator of the Year: MFast- Mr.Phan Thanh Long
In yet another really strong category, the judges were impressed that this person identified a problem with a lack of access to financial services in rural areas of their country and founded their company to solve this problem. They support those most in need, with their company constantly evolving to meet their needs.
Disruptor of The Year: Dtcpay
This is another category with lots of really strong entries from some of the giants of fintech. The judges selected this winner because this company offers a POS system that’s equipped with mobile capabilities. It integrates seamlessly with 5G to allow merchants to save time and money in accepting payments, which also better serves customers by giving them more payment options.
Crypto Award: Triple-A
The judges felt this entry was a deserved winner because the company has achieved an increase in payment volumes of 300% in just two years. They’re globally licensed, meaning they can support customers across the worldwide, supporting both businesses and individuals with their crypto solutions.
Best ESG Campaign: IDEMIA Singapore
This category saw lots of strong entries, but what impressed the judges most about this company is that not only did they make it a target to reduce its emissions, it’s doing so with huge success. They’ve reduced their electricity output by 16% and reduced water consumption by 23%.
Team of the Year: JULO
The judges chose this winner because they ensure all parts of their business are involved in every process. They listen closely to customer needs and balance this with tight regulatory compliance, making sure to always do the right thing, even when it’s not the easy thing.
FinTech Partner Award: Nucleus Software Export – FinnOne Neo
This company supports their partners as they continue to grow and scale. They focus on automating manual processes and prioritise open communication to ensure successful partnerships. The judges were impressed by their use of analytics to show measurable improvement.
Director of The Year: David Fergusson
This category saw some really strong entries from some really impressive individuals. The winner was chosen because they have a clear vision for their company and work relentlessly to make sure their team shares it. They also ensure their company works for good, partnering with NGOs and regularly donating to charities.
FinTech of The Year: Nium
This category saw a huge number of entries, but the winner stood out due to their technology. The judges were impressed that this company’s tech has revolutionised how financial institutions handle cross-border payments. Not only this, but they support over 100 currencies, offering real-time payouts – combining the trust of traditional banks with the speed and flexibility of neo banks.
