Raphael joined the FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK) as general manager effective January 2022. In his role, Raphael is working closely with the association’s board, co-chairs, industry partners, and members in continuing to drive its strategy under FTAHK 2.0.
He joined the association from Deutsche Bank, where he spent more than 15 years working in corporate and transaction banking. At Deutsche Bank, he held various senior roles, including in corporate treasury advisory, market and client intelligence, and the correspondent banking and clearing space.
As part of Deutsche’s senior leadership team, Raphael was responsible for developing tailored solutions for many of the bank’s largest clients in APAC as well as driving various digital transformation initiatives in the region, including working closely with fintechs operating in the blockchain, payments, ecommerce, and fraud detection space.
Raphael holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in European and business law from the University of Siegen in Germany.
